Nestled on the picturesque outskirts of Cowes on the Isle of Wight, The Traveller’s Joy stands as a cherished piece of local history, offering a warm welcome to all who pass its doors. Originally a thatched ale house, this historic pub dates back to a time when it served as a vital rest stop for weary travellers and tinkers working on the north-western shores of the Island. Today, The Traveller’s Joy retains its rustic charm, blending centuries-old tradition with the cozy comforts of a modern country pub, inviting guests to step back in time and savor the timeless hospitality that has made it a beloved destination for generations.

The Sunday roast is so fit too, definitely recommend the lamb and getting the cauliflower cheese as well. We've had an amazing time whenever we've been in, such a friendly spot. Very nice food and plenty of itPosted on Trace TTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a joy. Service super friendly, food cooked perfect. Minute steak cooked medium, peppercorn sauce yum although with fries, mash would been a nice option. Steak and ale pie cooked so tender it melted in the mouth. Value for money and a warm ambience. Thank you.
